Lorenz ‘63

• Description: Legendary “butterfly” model with three coupled ODEs that exhibit chaotic behavior.

Lorenz ‘96

• Reference: Lorenz 1996

• Description: Chaotic model. Often used in its two-layer version for parameterization research.
